It tells the story of three very different families who compete to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style villa that they believe will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano appeared in the Ice Age franchise (2002–present). I was surprised to see the show rated so low, but it made more sense when I saw a lot of reviews explaining why they didn’t get past the first episode. The show is a slow-paced mystery that may not be for everyone. Personally, I found it to be overly entertaining and funny with a particular tone from Liz Feldman that I like. I really love the cast and everyone’s performances. I wasn’t initially sold on Ray Romano due to my own preconceptions (I couldn’t separate him from Everybody Loves Raymond for the life of me), but that faded away pretty quickly. The various characters all have their own subplots, forming a tangled web of chaos that gradually, if not completely, unravels. I found myself completely engrossed in the story by the last episode, despite having figured out the main plot from the beginning. But I'm not mad about it. I'd love to see more of this show, and I really hope they get a second season.
