There are more than 80 authorized mining companies working in Mongolia, and these companies provide the main services in the planning and feasibility studies of all projects in the industry. Today, the issue of professional training for mining design professions has become one of the important issues of the industry, and in this field, the Mongolian Association of Mining Design Authors/MUUZTZH/ has conducted training for design specialization in cooperation with the Council of Mining Professional Associations/UUMKZ/ for 16 mining design projects. qualified engineers were trained and their certificates were officially handed over to them yesterday on September 23, 2021. Most of the certified engineers are experienced engineers with up to 10 years of experience in mining design companies. The President of UUMKZ, prof. D. Tsogbaatar, the head of the MUZTCKH, Dr. H. Jargalsaikhan, and the executive director, Dr. B. Bat-Ochir, participated in the leadership of the associations. B. Bat-Ochir, the Executive Director of MUZTCRC, told the newly certified mining design engineers to raise their professional reputation because the quality of mining design largely depends on the experience of qualified experts. He also talked about improving the quality of this training in a systematic manner. At the time of the certification, newly qualified engineering graduates signed the Code of Conduct for Mining Professionals, expressing their commitment to work more responsibly.
