The Mongolian Mining Designers Association was established in 2010. This association was founded by mining consulting engineers, and it is a professional non-governmental organization to serve the mining industry and its members in order to bring the designs developed in the mining industry of our country to a new level of quality and to carry out the activities of empowering the design organizations.
Bring Mongolia’s “Mining Design” to a new level of quality, improve its legal environment, refine design methodology and norms.
Prioritize advanced techniques, technologies, and accurate solutions to improve the theory and methodology of mining design, pay attention to the empowerment of all participating organizations in the design, and actively cooperate with professional organizations, ministries, and other organizations in the field of refining and updating requirements.
Kh. Jargalsaikhan graduated from the Mongolian National University in 1980 with a degree in mining technology. He is a mining engineer, Ph.D., associate professor, full member of Eurasian Academy, member of the technology junior assembly of the Mongolian Science Academy.
B. Bat-Ochir graduated in 1980 from the Mining Engineering faculty of the then so called Polytechnical Institute of the Mongolian National University. He is a mining technology engineer, doctor of technical sciences, member of the World Mining Congress, member of the Eurasian Academy of Mining, honorary professor of MUST and a member of the Mining Academic Degree Council of said establishment.
L.Purev has graduated as a mining engineer from the Polytechnical Institute of the Mongolian National University, in 1982 he has also graduated the Mongolian National University as a political scientist. Also he holds the title of doctor of technical sciences and professor.
In 1980, D. Damba graduated from the Polytechnical Institute of the Mongolian National University as a mining technology engineer. In 1991, he graduated from the Political Science Institute named after D. Sukhbaatar as a political scientist.

B. Bayara graduated from Mongolian University of Science and Technology in 1997. He is a mining surveyor engineer. He is one of the experienced young engineers in mining design, who has managed more than 80 feasibility studies for open pit, underground mining and processing plants.
E. Amarsanaa graduated from the Mongolian University of Science and Technology with a degree in surveying engineering in 2007, and also received a master’s degree in technical sciences from the same school in 2009. In 2013, he defended his master’s degree in business administration at the School of Management, an implementing agency of the government. He is one of the best engineers who specializes in mining planning and open pit mining design.
Avarzed graduated from BC in 2001 with a degree in Heavy Machinery Operation Engineer, and in 2011 received a Master’s degree in Mining Operation Technology from the Mining School of the Mongolian University for Science and Technology.. B. Avarzed, a qualified engineer, has been elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the Mongolian Mining Designers Association since 2016.
The executive director of this organization is Dr. B. Bat-Ochir. He is one of the qualified consulting engineers who worked in the field of research and design at the Institute of Geology, Mining and Production Analysis and the Mongolrostsvetmet union between 1980 and 1995.
The association organized “Raise the quality of mining design to a new level /2013/” and “Mining design 2014” training seminars among designers and interested organizations in cooperation with the Ministry of Mining as well as the Mineral Resources and Petroleum Authority of Mongolia and conducted training on feasibility study methodology. established and cooperated with more than 40 member and non-member organizations working in the field.
In 2015, the Association was actively involved in the development of the policy for the mineral resources sector in cooperation with groups appointed by the decree of the President of Mongolia, Minister of Mining and Director of the Mineral Resource Authority.
In 2016-2017, the association has traditionally organized meetings and seminars among design organizations, and in 2018 for the tour of the mining industry, they visited the mines of 5 companies, such as Khüder-Erdene and Khar Zanar, which are located on the western gold alluvial deposits in front of Buurl Pass. Representatives of 15 companies participated in the project.
Since 2012, the company has been actively participating in the selection of the best designer organizations of the year in cooperation with the Ministry of Mining and the Mineral resources Authority, and since 2013, the Mongolian Mining Design Аssociation’s “Best Designer of the Year” trophy has been awarded annually. In 2021, the designer company “MM Market” LLC was awarded the “Best Designer of the Year” trophy and “The Best Design Engineer” title with a monetary prize was awarded to T.Galt of “Goldmen Project” LLC.
In recent years, the Mongolian Mining Designers Association has actively initiated some innovative activities in the field of mining and has carried out the following:
